Josh Zimmer holds a B.S. degree in Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. While still a student, he obtained oil and gas industry experience as an independent landman for various companies and operators in Oklahoma. After graduation, Josh continued his career as a landman for several companies. His previous responsibilities included work in the Marcellus Shale and Anadarko Basin, Since then, he's worked for both large and small clients as an independent petroleum landman throughout Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Kansas, Arkansas and Pennsylvania.
Josh has extensive experience in examining land records, buying leases, preparing documents for title curative and managing land crews. He’s expertly supervised the acquisitions of leases, wells and consulted with clients preparing to drill wells. He’s supervised landmen for clients’ regulatory needs and is considered an expert witness in cases brought before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
Starting in 2016, Zimmer began advising law firms and assisting in the preparation of Oklahoma and Texas drilling, acquisition and division title opinions. This included the important service of helping operators update and cure land title defects.
Zimmer has now launched his own Oklahoma-based land brokerage firm. His goal is to make it one of the best firms in the industry while continuing to give back to the communities where his work has taken him.
